Those are sweet!! I'm definetly going to check them out.
What I usually do to name my characters is to find names that produce a sound that I associate with their character.
For example, one of my character's names is "Tucker Gray". I chose Tucker as his first name because it isn't very common, and it has a refined, yet tough sound. The "Gray" part is becasue for much of the story he is torn between good and evil, and moves quite literally in a moral grey zone.

Well aside from internet sources I am just a name creator. I do like to use old comic tricks and gimmicks to name my characters, such as the double consanant name. Brian Braddock (aka. Captain Britain) Matt Murdock. Or the Matching the hero name to the real name ie; the guy's name is Solar Flare, so his real name might be Sunny Firestone. Or last but not least the hero name IS the normal name or part of it... ie; Lace, Leather, And Steele's real names are Lacey Warrington, Leather Pasquelli, and Jessica Steele. as far as Hero names that differ from real name's I like my hero names to match my hero's and or their powers. these can be harder to come up with since so many have been used already. So how to I get a traditional comic book type name without re-using an already in use name? (like the badger, or animal-man) first let's start with the badger what are we looking for... a tough wolverine like rip-off but we don't want to use the character the badger as it's already in use... first can u spin it or change it? my friend has a character named "badger-boy" can u call it the black badger? or the brass badger? Well we're just looking for a guy with claws that is tough and cool looing like a wolverine clone right "ripclaw" is taken so let's stick with animals. Catman sounds kinda lame and DC already has one, Lion-o, tigra.... hmm.. how about bocat... makes me think of Bobcat Goldthwait though.... ok back to the colors, hmm what about gold claws, no gold's too soft... Bronze? Yeah!... The Bronze Bobcat... there I've got my name. Animal-Man is a buit more tricky, there's beastman, beast boy, no... a guy who chnanges into different animals or has the qualities/ traits of them... hmmm predator, no... feral... hmmm Ravage.. nope already used.. I know Savage... and there is that process in a nutshell. between these 3 processes I am rarely at a loss -Brian
