Bushi Warrior Tales:// A Matter of Honor
by Roberto Armstrong
Splash shot: Opening shot is of Fox in a kata stance surrounded by a circle of broken ice blocks. Eyes closed and fist clenched with sweat pouring down his face.
Caption 1: The courtyard of Master Khans dojo.
Caption 2: Mid-day
Fox Caption: I still remember their faces, the Khoga assassins...
Fox Caption: The uneasy feeling I sensed when I and Lord Matsuda first arrived at Midori Matsudas place. Especially upon seeing the servant,Kam.
Fox Caption: Something about her was...off.
Fox Caption: I remember excusing myself to check things outside.
Fox Caption: That's when I saw them, the Khoga ninja. A male and female, standing over the dead gaurds.
Fox Caption: I confronted them...
Fox Caption: They were good... as good as me.

Panel 1: Close in on Fox face with a look of pain on it.
Fox Caption: Then there was a sharp pain in my back, the Khoga female had stabbed me in the back with her sword.
Fox Caption: I took her out, only the male remained.
Fox Caption: I maintained my composure as the poison raced througout my system. The male Khoga could tell I was weakend.
Fox Caption: I did my best but...it wasn't enough.
Panel 2: Fox eyes are now open.
Fox Caption: I failed...I made a fatal mistake, the Khoga delivered a near fatal blow and I collasped. Seemingly...dead.
Fox Caption: At that moment, I knew my master was dead too.
Panel 3: Honzo is approaching Fox from behind.
Honzo: I see your strengths back.
Fox: Yes.
Honzo: You plan to avenge Lord Matsuda?
Fox: I do.
Honzo: You realize the Iga ninja are most likely seeking out the assassins and their master?
Fox: I do.
Honzo: And you still intend to pursue this matter?
Fox: I have to Honzo.
Honzo: Fox, you've only just come out of a three month coma. I don't think your ready to go after the Khoga.

Panel 1: Fox has turned to face Honzo.
Fox: Ready or not, I have to do this.
Panel 2: Honzo looks at his friend with concern.
Honzo: (Sigh) I know...
Panel 3: Honzo looks at Fox with admiration.
Honzo: With you it always comes down to one thing.
Panel 4: Fox and Honzo are facing each other.
Fox: Yes, my old friend. It's a matter of honor.
