Happy Free Comic Book Day folks! Hope everyone got a chance to get out to their local comic shops and grab some free goodies. I ventured out to one of the shops in my area, and it was great to see a whole new generation of comic book fans in mass, little kids, teens, young men & women. Even snagged a couple of freebies myself before they all disappeared, and picked up at least one new book. Should be a good read. Now, as many have no doubt noticed this is only our second update for the year. The main reason being we haven't had much to share with you and we were super busy wrapping up Bushi. In light of that we decided to only do updates when we really have some things to share or announce. Not to say you won't get an occasional behind the scenes snap shot or sneak peek of what we've got brewing in the studio. That said, I am happy to announce that the final two chapters of Bushi will be debuting at this months Motor City Comic Con. Both issues will have variant covers, with issue four having a cover done by guest artist Israel Gonzales & Nepo and a special black/white variant by Bushi co-creator Tony Davis! Issue five will rock variant covers by the creative team of Roberto Armstrong and Darryl Anderson with colors by Minan Ghibliest! It's been a long road for this series and we've finally reached the end. We put a lot of blood and sweat into the final two part chapter of the series. We truly hope, you the fans enjoy it! That said, we are now moving to begin our campaign of an expanding Core universe. With the end of Bushi, we realized that it leaves a void in our martial arts genre. But have no fears, something mystical will be filling that void. And you'll get a better sense of what that is when Core Studios: A Look Ahead drops later this year. And for those who caught a glimpse of our 10th anniversary poster you've already gotten a peek at some things to come! The next imminent project to drop will be the long delayed Night Predators, which is inching closer and closer to completion. Currently the book is half way thru the color process, so we expect a very probable summer release. Don't forget folks,Darryl Anderson and I will be attending the Motor City Comic Con May 16,17th and 18th! We expect to have all five issues of Bushi on hand barring any delays with the printing of issue five. And we'll also be doing commission sketches all three days of the show. So be sure to stop by and check us out! See you in 12 days! Roberto A
